Scott Walker's minions found the one economic indicator, the damn lying statistic which seems to support how his policies are working even though federal jobs data shows Wisconsin 38th in the nation in job growth since Walker took office.
Walker has linked, published, and broadcast the findings of Philly Fed until even the Filly Fed issued the warning of the lie:
Philly Fed says Scott Walker, WMC offer misleading data on Wisconsin economySeptember 28, 2013 6:00 am • MIKE IVEY | The Capital Times But officials with the Philly Fed, who have been following the situation in Wisconsin, issued a statement Friday saying it’s a misreading of their "Coincident Indexes" to try and compare one state to another. “We do not consider state rankings based on the coincident and leading indexes to be valid,” says Paul Flora, Senior Economic Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia in an email to the Cap Times. Officials with the Philly Fed, who have been following the situation in Wisconsin, issued a statement Friday saying it’s a misreading of their "Coincident Indexes" to try and compare one state to another. Philly Index formulation AKA "Vector Autoregression" The Coincident Index employs vector autoregression to construct the leading index. Now, after you spit the multiple consonants our of your mouth, we come to the moniker that defines Scott Walker and company: Auto regressive!But...so what? Throw some Wisconsin Manufactures, Bradley Foundation money at the Coincidental Auto Regressive damn lie, and let her spin:
Gov. Scott Walker says Wisconsin is Heading in the Right Direction
[Madison, Wisc...] Governor Scott Walker sat down with the MacIver News Service recently to talk about where Wisconsin stands and his goals for the coming months. Walker said that a majority of the statistics and rankings show that Wisconsin's economy is turning around. His goal is to continue working with employers to create more jobs and would like to build upon the reforms in his budget that will reduce bureaucratic red tape on businesses and consumers.MacIver News ServiceOh, and there is a video! It features Scott Walker reeling off word bites like an alter boy reciting his "Confiteor Deo" kneeling before Monseigneur Moriarty, "key industries' (nose breath), chamber of commerce survey (eye shift), trend after trend (hand sweep), - the litany of licentiousness before the altar of neocon funding.
Walker’s Wisconsin – The MacIver exclusive ‘Atta boy!
The obvious failure of Walker’s record in job creation is all the more strident since the echo’s of his prime promise in his campaign was, “I will create 250,000 new jobs in Wisconsin by the end of my first term”. Rather than accepting any responsibility for the lagging job creation, he continues to create excuses: it was the recall elections, it was the protests, it was…it was…. or it is the manner in which job statistics are compiled by the federal government. It was not the recall elections, it was not the protests, it is not the way the numbers are compiled by the federal government – it was Scott Walker’s decision to dismantle a department of the state government, and doing so without possessing the education, managerial skills, or administrative skills to make the new department work. ,/divz. The problem is in the very foundation of Walker’s job creation plan - the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and it is sinking, sinking, sinking.
